AGC operator Merkur Casino UK has allocated nearly £2,000 to two grassroots sports organizations in Greater Manchester on July 29, 2026. The funding comes from the company’s Merkur Community Programme and supports local athletic development.
Local Sports Funding Distribution
The grant is divided equally between the Old Trafford Sports Club and the Flixton Jaguars. The Old Trafford facility will use its share to purchase essential equipment for its sports and leisure programs. The Flixton Jaguars, an under-13 boys’ squad operating under Flixton Juniors AFC, will apply its portion toward new home and away kits. Flixton Juniors AFC runs athletic programs for participants ranging from four-year-olds to adult open-age divisions.The Merkur Community Programme has distributed £423,095 to more than 200 community groups nationwide since its launch in 2024. The July 2026 Manchester allocation continues the operator’s ongoing funding cycle for regional organizations.
